We Have This Down To A Science

As An Umbrella Board President, You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Leadership & Vision – Provides overall leadership for the umbrella booster club, setting the tone, vision, and culture while ensuring alignment with school policies and community values.

  • Board & Meeting Oversight – Presides over board and general meetings, sets agendas, facilitates discussions, and ensures decisions are made with transparency and fairness.

  • Governance & Compliance – Ensures the club operates according to its bylaws, maintains nonprofit compliance, and oversees financial accountability in coordination with the treasurer and other officers.

  • School & Community Liaison – Serves as the primary representative of the club with school administration, district officials, parents, and sponsors to build strong relationships and advocate for student programs.

As An Umbrella Board Vice President, You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Support & Collaboration – Assists the President in carrying out leadership duties and ensures continuity of leadership by being familiar with all aspects of club operations.

  • Committee Oversight – Provides direct support and guidance to committees or sub-teams, helping coordinate activities and ensuring alignment with the club’s mission.

  • Leadership Continuity – Presides over meetings and fulfills the President’s duties when the President is absent or unavailable.

  • Special Projects & Initiatives – Takes the lead on specific programs, events, or sponsorship initiatives as assigned by the board to further the club’s goals.

As An Umbrella Board Treasurer, You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Financial Management – Oversees all club funds, maintains accurate financial records, and ensures proper accounting practices are followed.

  • Budgeting & Reporting – Prepares the annual budget with input from the board, presents monthly financial reports, and provides updates on the financial health of the organization.

  • Compliance & Safeguards – Ensures compliance with nonprofit financial guidelines, district policies, and IRS regulations; manages dual-signature requirements, deposits, and reconciliations to protect funds.

  • Transparency & Support – Provides financial guidance to sub-teams, assists with fundraising accountability, and makes records available for audits or reviews when requested by the board.

As An Umbrella Board Vice President, You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Record Keeping – Maintains accurate minutes of all board and general meetings, ensuring official records are complete and accessible.

  • Documentation & Compliance – Safeguards bylaws, policies, and other governing documents, keeping them current and available for reference.

  • Communication Support – Handles official correspondence, notices of meetings, and distribution of agendas and minutes to board members and stakeholders.

  • Organizational Support – Maintains membership records, assists with elections and board documentation, and supports the President and Vice President in administrative duties.
